Heritage Home Loan Program Now Available in Euclid

Shown here in the 1950's, E. 232nd Street is one of the many streets in Euclid lined with homes now eligible for the Heritage Home Program (photo courtesy of the Euclid Historical Society and Museum).

Homeowners in Euclid now have another tool in their home-improvement toolboxes.  Through a new partnership between the City of Euclid and the Cleveland Restoration Society, properties in Euclid that are at least fifty years old are eligible for the Heritage Home Program.

The Heritage Home Program is a unique loan program that matches the expertise of the staff of the Restoration Society with low-interest financing from Key Bank.  The result is an affordable way for homeowners to make repairs and upgrades to their properties.

According to the US Census Bureau, over 62 percent of the homes in Euclid were built before 1960.  The large number of eligible homes and committed residents make Euclid an ideal community for the Heritage Home Program.

Founded in 1972, the Cleveland Restoration Society is recognized as a leader in the American preservation movement.  The group has over 400 members and is a partner of National Trust for Historic Preservation.

To find out more about the Heritage Home Program, please call the Cleveland Restoration Society at (216) 426-3116 or visit www.heritagehomeprogram.org.  For information on other housing programs in Euclid, go to www.cityofeuclid.com.
