“Performing arts are an important part of a child’s education,” says Darryl Lewis, Director of the Euclid School of Music.  There are a number of major benefits to a child that can be achieved through the creative arts. Researchers are now linking involvement in the arts to increased development and higher student achievements. According to Lewis, “One of the most obvious benefits of performing arts is the development of skills in self-presentation, problem solving and confidence.”  Participating in the arts allows children to grow their self-esteem and self-confidence, and they will no doubt make lifelong friends with those that share a similar passion for the arts and performance.
