Kiddie City Growth Spurt Equals New Life for Lincoln

You’ll be hearing the laughter of children soon at the former Lincoln Elementary School building as the staff and students of Kiddie City Child Care Community leave our E. 200th St. home of 10 years on Friday, April 29th and resume Tuesday, May 3rd at our new location on E. 206th St.  We are grateful to the Euclid City Schools’ Board of Education for leasing us this great facility to continue our mission of providing quality care and early childhood education to eastern Cuyahoga and western Lake Counties’ children and their families.  The staff and their infant, toddler, preschool, and prekindergarten students will thrive in this fantastic indoor and outdoor environment.

Our director, Jennifer Boger, assistant director, Dayna White, and our teachers are putting the final touches on our new center as we await final inspections and licensing.  Dreaming of this move for 2 years, Jen and Dayna started their equipment shopping at child care center auctions and stored their great finds in an employee’s garage and a rented storage unit.  A  PNC used office furniture donation has helped our nonprofit fill enlarged office areas on a tight budget.   Diligent craftsmen have spent the last 2 months readying this great space for our arrival:  Watermark Interiors (painting), Kilgore Carpeting (flooring), Weatherbe Construction (maintenance), Safe Air (asbestos removal), C Green Landscaping, Cleaning Wizards (initial cleaning), Majet Communications (phone system), and Simplex It (network). The community will be invited to view all our hard work at our Open House and 10th Anniversary celebration later this summer.

While readying for this move, the Kiddie City staff is preparing for their “Funds for Fun” fundraiser on Saturday, May 14 from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm at the Euclid Beach Park Museum and Event Center at Euclid Square Mall.  The Euclid Beach Boys, Joe Tomaro and John  Frato,  have repurposed another great Euclid landmark and created a fun place for a party that will benefit the summer and continuous educational enrichment programs for Kiddie City children.  Join us for a night of carnival food, dancing, and an exciting basket raffle while reminiscing among the Euclid Beach Park memorabilia.  Tickets $30 per person with discounts for couples and tables of 8 and are available by contacting Kiddie City at 216-481-9044.  Sponsorships and basket donations are also being accepted at this time.
