Need a Space? Shore Cultural is Your Place for Parties, Meetings, Performances, Practice Spaces, and More!

Shore Cultural Centre's auditorium is a gem in Euclid.

Completed in 1913, the classical revival-style building that now houses Shore Cultural Centre served its first 75 years as a school building before transforming into a community center. Many of the unique spaces designed especially for a school are now available for the public to rent: event rooms, classrooms, dance studios, a band room, a gymnasium, and an auditorium. Shore is conveniently accessed by I-90 or Lakeshore Boulevard.

You may have attended a birthday party, baby shower, or family reunion in of Shore's two event rooms. Shore’s Landing, room 152, holds 40 to 60 people, while the Community Room, room 125, will accommodate 75 to 100. Both rooms include tables and chairs as well as a kitchenette for basic food preparation. Larger groups use the center gym for gatherings, which has space for at least 150 people depending on the setup. The gym is a great location for a children’s birthday party, as it offers plenty of space for games and activities. The center gym is also available for basketball clubs, fitness organizations, and other recreational uses.

The naturally-lit dance studios have professional-grade wood floors; one of the two studios has a sprung floor to absorb shock and provide a more comfortable surface for dancing. Shore is already home to several dance companies as well as public dance classes for children, teens, and adults offered by Tom Evert, but openings are available for new groups or individuals. The band room, which is used for rehearsals by the Euclid Symphony Orchestra, has a three-tiered floor and plenty of chairs for musicians.

The historic Shore auditorium boasts world-renowned acoustics and stunning theater architecture. With seats for 850 and a spacious backstage area to accommodate large set pieces, it is perfect for performances of all types and sizes, from church productions to dance or music recitals to community theater troupes. One of just a few rentable auditorium spaces in the Cleveland area, Shore is happy to work with renters of all budgets to put on successful family-friendly events with a touch of class. Come and see the auditorium's beautiful new stage curtains!

For more information about renting any of the spaces above, call Shore Cultural Centre at (216) 289-8578 or visit us at 291 E 222nd Street, Euclid. All spaces are available for viewing between 8:30 AM and 5 PM from Monday to Friday and 9 AM to 12 PM on Saturday.
