A Great Day on E. 200th Street

Every year, Our Lady of the Lake supports the E. 200th Street Stroll by offering a free Stroll Festival for the community. We offer free parking to Stroll visitors, who can catch the trolley from our convenient corner location, and enjoy a visit with lots of fun, free activities while they’re here. “This is part of who we are as a parish,” says Dana Heil, Pastoral Minister responsible for Community Outreach. “We welcome everyone, and support our community. The E. 200th Street Stroll is a great chance to do both, and have a lot of fun doing it!”

There was certainly plenty of fun to go around. Lots of friends and neighbors stopped by to enjoy the day with us, and play outdoor games. Free treats, games and crafts brought lots of smiles, along with a balloon clown and great music from the Chardon Polka Band.

Our Lady of the Lake also reached out with a table in the middle of the Stroll, where we had fun prizes for all ages and got to meet lots of new friends and neighbors. This wonderful community event grows every year, and we are so glad to support it.
