STEM Engineering Challenge

Fifth-grade students from Arbor Elementary School participated in a STEM engineering challenge at Euclid High School. Their challenge was to design and construct a boat that takes into account buoyancy, the properties of materials and design constraints. Students created boats and tested how well they floated when adding pennies to them.  High school engineering students from Mrs. McGarry's class helped the fifth-graders through the challenge.  Science is such a great connector.
