SRW Recipient of Three Grants

Through the generosity of many donors throughout the Cleveland Diocese, the Rooted in Faith, Forward in Hope campaign has raised $170 million in pledges for the Catholic Community of Northeast Ohio.  One of the components of the campaign was to strengthen Catholic Education and to provide facility upgrades.

In December, SRW received word that we were awarded $25,000 which will be used to renovate a restroom in the school building.  This will complement the facilities upgrades that have recently taken place.

In addition, and with much gratitude, the SRW community became recipients of two philanthropic grants.  Throughout the years, trustees of The Michael Talty and Helen Talty Charitable Trust have generously awarded funding for various projects.  In December, $6,700 was donated and will be used toward the cost of the new Elin Cooke Playground project which will break ground in the spring.

Also in December, SRW was granted $8,500 from the St. Mary Seminary Outreach Trust Fund.  These dollars are designated for the SRW Parish Outreach Program and will provide necessary funds for our food pantry program and “The Banquet,” our free community meal which is served on the last Tuesday of each month. All are invited to join us for our next meal which is being served on February 24, 2015, at 5:15 p.mThe funds also will allow for a minor upgrade to the kitchen facility.

Ss. Robert & William Catholic Parish is indebted to these funders who so generously support our programs and assist us in fulfilling our mission of serving the community of Euclid.
