Cartooning
Instructor: Josh Usmani
When: Saturdays - Ongoing (excluding Feb. 7 through Mar. 28);
10:00am-Noon
This course will cover a wide range of cartooning practices including character creation/development (people, animals, fictional creatures, inanimate objects, etc.), backgrounds/scenery, narrative storytelling, caricatures, observational drawing from life, various demos, group critiques and more!

Pottery Open Studio
Instructor: Eileen Sheehan and Jayson Hayes
When: Mondays and Wednesdays, 6:00-9:00pm with Jayson Hayes; Tuesdays 11:00am-2:00pm with Eileen Sheehan
For all levels, from beginner through advanced. Learn a variety of ceramic techniques, including hand-building, throwing on a potter's wheel and glazing methods. You may work on projects of your choice. Glazes, tools and firing are provided. Two types of clay are available for purchase.
All ages welcome (Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult)
Studio Fee: $8/hour per person ($6/hour if you prepay for a punch card of 10 hours)
Clay Fee: $25 for 15lb. bag of clay (includes glazes)

Kate Uhlir Artists

When: Thursdays 10:00am-2:00pm (lunch during the summer at Wendy’s or other locale.)
Learn pastel drawing and watercolor techniques, as well as painting with oils and/or acrylics on canvas. There will also be opportunities for pleine aire painting. Materials are provided for the first class.

Kids Open Art Studio

Students will learn and have fun painting, drawing, sculpting, making ceramics, journals, jewelry, and so much more! Children think, create, problem-solve, and communicate using their imagination. Art improves cognitive and motor skills along with sensory integration. Materials will be provided.

Chicago Steppin’ Dance Class
