$5,000 in Scholarships are Awarded to SRW Top Students

Annually, Ss. Robert and William Catholic School awards scholarships to outstanding students in recognition of their deeds and accomplishments.  To kick-off our Catholic Schools Week celebration this year, ten students were presented with scholarships for the upcoming 2015-2016 school year, during the 11:00 am Mass on Sunday, January 25, 2015.

The Edward J. Czyzycki Annual Service award was gifted to 7th grade student, Jillian DiDona, for outstanding practice of the Catholic Faith through charitable deeds.

The Sr. Dorothy Kazel High School Scholarship award was gifted to 8th grader, Hallie Paus, for being a registered and active parishioner of Ss. Robert and William Catholic Parish.  This scholarship is renewable each year of high school, provided the students remains in good standing with his/her high school and participates in the SRW Life Teen Ministry.

The St. William Parish Endowment Benefactors Scholarship award was gifted to 7th grader, Fatiha Ali, for making a significant contribution to her class and/or school community.  This scholarship is given in honor of Margaret & Frank Kearns, Russell E. Seibert, Edward Paulis, John McGroarty & Carl Baricelli who were memorialized by significant donations to the St. William Parish Endowment that was inherited by Ss. Robert and William parish in 2010.

The St. William Parish Endowment Founders Scholarship award was gifted to 4th grader, Victoria Baioni, for doing something unique to show herself as someone willing to take a stand and who does not always follow the pack.

St. William Pastor/Principal Scholarship award was gifted to 1st grader, McKenna Murphy, for showing potential leadership skills.

In addition and new this year, the Sr. Helen Marie Davidson, OSU Scholarship award was gifted to four students, two boys and two girls, entering 7th or 8th grade, for regularly attending Mass and who are involved in extra-curricular activities.  The following students were awarded this honor:  Sophie Sito, Julianne Wallenhorst, Nathan Grubach, and Jack Szmania.

We congratulate all of our students who reflect Christian values and who put their faith in action, that are strongly incorporated at Ss. Robert and William Catholic School.
