Staying Centered at Our Lady of the Lake

Our Lady of the Lake second graders, under the direction of Miss Zbiegien, spent some time outdoors this year engaged in centering prayer.  Centering prayer gives the person praying the chance to simply be quiet and happy in God’s presence. Nothing is said, all one has to do is focus on God and His great love for us. In our busy world, learning how to quiet ourselves can be a real challenge.  As you can see, the children are doing a great job!  During the hustle bustle of this season, it's important to remember the things that keep us grounded, and give us peace.  If you know a second grader from Our Lady of the Lake School, ask them to show you how to pray like this.
