Instant College Admittance Day
The days of agonizing for months while waiting for a college acceptance letter to arrive are over! Instant College Admittance Day allowed over 110 Euclid High School students to apply and earn acceptance to college during their school day. Lake Erie College, Cleveland State University, Youngstown State University, Kent State University, Lakeland Community College, and Cuyahoga Community College interviewed and accepted EHS students on the spot, thanks to the Guidance Department.
Lake Erie College alone had 17 applications and admitted 12 students. Those 12 students received over $100,000 of scholarships! It is programs like Instant College Admittance that allow us to "see the excitement on our students faces the moment they find out their acceptance status," EHS Guidance Counselor Katie Gonakis explains. Events like this, "give students the confidence to pursue higher education."
