107 Cars Washed in 5 Hours!
Giving back……what could be a better way in the summer to help raise money for others than a car wash!
Held on Saturday, August 9th, the 6th Annual “Soaps-It-Up” car wash fundraiser was a huge success! This annual carwash is a nation-wide CARSTAR Auto Body event - raising funds for the the Make-A-Wish foundation of America, granting wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions.
Action CARSTAR Auto Body of Euclid again partnered with the Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School Girl's Viking Volleyball team and local car dealer Rick Case Honda. The event was held at the VASJ High School and the front parking lot of Euclid Hospital where hospital employees had the opportunity to have their cars cleaned and shined! The weather was gorgeous and the community came out to show their support! The girls worked incredibly hard washing cars and bringing in the passing traffic; washing 107 cars and beating their previous record!
A huge thank you to everyone who came out and got their car washed and made donations (many even donating just as they drove by), the Euclid business district, the volleyball parents, and Euclid Hospital/Cleveland Clinic. The team raised over $2,200 this year, with half going to the volleyball program and the other half to the Make-A-Wish foundation.
Our total for the past six years is $11,599.00 with over 525 cars washed! We will see you again next year, Euclid!
