Marching Down Main Street
On September 18, 2013, the Euclid High School Marching Band and Orchestra held the “kickoff” of their Disney World Trip that would be held April 4th through the 8th 2014. They hoped to raise enough money to participate in the Disney Magic Mucic Days Program. 18,480 candy bars and 130 dozens of donuts were sold. A car wash, Walathon and Playathon were held. Corporate donations were received from Daugherty Construction and AVG Archetecture. Their audition video had been viewed by the Disney Magic Music Days program and accepted! On April 4th 46 of the members of the marching band traveled on a bus for 22 hours to Disney World. All four Disney Parks were visited. On April 7th the students marched proudly through the Magic Kingdom. The Disney representatives were impressed by our student’s talent. They commented on their big sound and how their music reverberated off the buildings as they proudly marched down Main Street. As a spectator I have to agree. They were awesome. These students of Euclid High Schools did an outstanding job showcasing their incredible talent. They truly did a superior job representing the City of Euclid and the Euclid City Schools
