Ss. Robert & William Catholic School and Parish Celebrate the Fine Arts

On Wednesday, May 21, 2014, 6:30p.m.-8:00p.m., Ss. Robert and William Catholic School will host its final “Evening of Learning.” The focus of this particular night is a School and Parish Art Exhibit/Auction and Music Performance.

The evening will begin in the Upper Hall of the school with its “All Parish and School Art Exhibit.”  Ms. Elizabeth Edwards, Art Teacher, has been working with the students, and their exhibit will focus on imagination and superheroes.

Members of the parish have also been invited to participate by displaying their unique handmade items. Traditionally, these pieces range from poetry to fiber wear. Additionally, an art auction will take place offering guests the opportunity to bid on framed photographs by the late Mr. Fred Owens, a longtime Euclid resident.

To round out the evening, the School Band and Parish Choir will present an array of music beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the gym.  Faculty member, Mrs. Beth Wortman and Music Director, Mr. Jim Markel have been working with the groups to present a harmonious performance.

“I find this evening so inspirational,” states Fr. John D. Betters.  He continues, “This is an intergenerational event that showcases the giftedness of our students and our parishioners.  I invite the community to come out and experience this evening with us.”

Ss. Robert & William School is located at 351 East 260th St., Euclid. For additional information, please visit www.srwschool.cc or call 216.731.3060.
