Hooping It Up

The basketball teams at Our Lady of the Lake have been taking it to the finals this season!  There are so many things to be proud of from all our teams.  The 8th grade girls came in first place in their division.  The 8th grade boys are competing in the Mater Dei finals as we go to press, and one of our high school teams is still in the city tournament.  Both 7th grade boys’ teams made it to the quarter finals in the CYO city tournament, while the 5th grade boys went undefeated.  In their first year of playing together,  the 4th grade girls made it to the finals in the St. Francis tournament.  Both the 6th grade boys’ and girls’ teams, the 5th grade girls, and the 4th grade boys had good seasons with hard fought games.  And our cheerleading team brought the spirit, cheering the fifth grade boys on to success.

It takes a lot of hard work by players, parents and coaches to make these seasons happen, and we can’t thank our volunteers enough for their dedication.  Thanks to the strong community backing them, all our kids are winners!
