  • LIMBERING UP – Euclid YMCA swim team coach Toni Bacon demonstrates a warm-up technique (obviously one that also develops strong swimming muscles) as she helps her young team members prepare for a rigorous workout. The energetic and charismatic coach began the recent practice session with a motivational story about a famous athlete whose dedication to training enabled him to rise from poverty to achieve fame as a star football player in the NFL. • The Csoltko brothers—this is Daniel—are two of the most recent additions to the Euclid YMCA swim team lineup. Both made strong showings in their first competitive swim meet in Alliance, Ohio, Dec. 4, against the Alliance Y squad.
  • Mark, age 12, showed good improvement in his swimming technique after just two weeks of practice under the watchful eye of Coach Toni Bacon. Daniel, age 9, demonstrated remarkably advanced kicking ability in winning his first race as a member of the Y team. Both boys attend Oliver Hazard Perry elementary school in North Collinwood.
