A "New" Attitude towards Praise

According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, church and ministries are predominately listed as nouns. Not to dispute a publication that has been in existence since 1806, but in the case of New Praise Ministries these listings are not entirely correct. New Praise Ministries is also a verb: New Praise Ministries is an action, a movement!

Established six years ago, with humble beginnings in the living room of Pastor Roscoe J. Heath and First Lady Tina Heath, New Praise is on the move and has created a “movement.” Through years of dedicated work and “seed-sowing,” New Praise has established itself as a truthful, enlightening, community-involved, bible-based, contemporary church.

Located at 436 Euclid Square, New Praise was one of the first churches to occupy the former Euclid Square Mall after the city of Euclid approved the requisite zoning. After taking occupancy of their current location in the middle of October 2007, the space was transformed by several members and friends and, ready for their first Sunday service the first week of November in the same year.

New Praise formally held their services and bible studies in the Shore Cultural Center. Enduring several relocations within the Cultural Center, New Praise was blessed from the start. Despite each relocation, the membership continued to grow, to the point that New Praise outgrew their space. With this growth in membership, it was time to search for a new place of worship. Members desired to purchase a building of their own, but a purchase did not come to fruition (it was evidently not in God’s plan at that time); ultimately they found the unoccupied space in the former mall.

If you were to visit New Praise Ministries, you would be pleasantly surprised to find, not an ordinary place of worship. The teachings are truthful, relevant and vibrant. The décor, atmosphere and attitude are very contemporary. Your pre-conceived notions of a church will be quickly dispelled after entering the front door of the Sanctuary.

During a time in our society where mega-churches are in vogue, New Praise is a breath of fresh air. Imagine a church where the pastor is accessible, engaged and personable; where bible studies are held twice a week, and are open for discussion and questions; a place of worship where the members greet you as they would family on your initial visit; and where the music is inspirational and moving injected with a contemporary flair.

New Praise Ministries offers all of this and more; take a chance, a chance to experience biblical truth, to have your questions answered, to feel like a member of a family, to worship freely, to come with your baggage which, you will drop after being transformed by truth!

I encourage you to take advantage of what New Praise Ministries has to offer by attending any one of their services. Bible studies are held each Tuesday and Wednesday evening at 7 p.m., Sunday school at 9:30 a.m., and Sunday service starts promptly at 11 a.m. You can also get a taste of the New Praise Ministries’ movement by visiting their website at www.newpraiseministries.com or on YouTube; their direct link is: rel7145.
