Swimming and other activities round out Euclid's rec department
The City of Euclid Parks & Recreation is in full swing, from programs for children, adults and family. Programming includes a wide range of programming such as swim team, swimming lessons, open swim, soccer, start smart football, basketball, softball, baseball, sand volleyball, golf and tennis. We are currently accepting registrations for our flag (ages 5-9)and tackle football (ages 8-12) and cheerleading (ages 7-13). Memorial Pool, although delayed in opening due to a bad pump, is up and running and serving many folks in this extremely warm and humid weather. Memorial Pool is open Monday through Sunday from 1 - 5 p.m. for open swim, 5 - 6 p.m. Monday through Friday for adult swim, and Monday through Friday from 6 - 8 p.m. for open swim. The four neighborhood pools are open Monday through Saturday from 1 - 5 p.m. for open swim.
The City of Euclid will host the Suburban Swim League Championships, Aug. 8 beginning at 8 a.m. and concluding around 5 p.m. We expect 3,000 people to walk through the gates. This is a free event, so come and see the sites as Memorial Pool turns into what will look like the summer Olympics. If you have any questions, contact the Parks & Recreation Department at (216) 289-8114, option #8.
